A call centre or contact centre is one of the best fits for a free vending machine: many people in one building, breaks that are short and scheduled, and often evening, weekend or overnight shifts when nearby food options are closed. We install, stock and repair snack, drink, combo, fresh-food and coffee machines at $0 cost, with no contract. Here is what agents actually use and how to set it up.
Why vending fits a contact centre
Agents usually take breaks on a set schedule, and a break that is spent walking to a coffee shop and lining up is a break that runs late. A machine on the floor or in the break room lets people get a coffee, a drink or a meal and be back at their desk on time.
- Short, scheduled breaks: food and drinks in seconds, a few steps from the floor.
- Talking all day: water, tea and drinks within reach matter more than in most offices.
- Evening and overnight shifts: centres that run late or around the clock need food when cafeterias and restaurants are closed.
- Large teams: one break room can serve many people, and machines can be added on each floor.
Which machines work best
| Need | Machine |
|---|---|
| Coffee at the start of a shift and through the day | Bean-to-cup coffee machine |
| A real meal on evening and overnight shifts | Fresh and frozen meal machine |
| Snacks and cold drinks in a smaller break area | Combo machine |
| Water for agents who talk all day | Bottleless water cooler |
| Healthier options | Snack and drink machines stocked with healthier choices |
Where to put machines in a contact centre
- In or next to the break room, so people use their whole break instead of walking.
- Away from the calling floor, so the sound of a machine and people chatting does not carry onto calls.
- One location per floor in multi-floor buildings, so nobody waits for an elevator on a 15-minute break.
- Near a microwave if you add fresh and frozen meals.
Each machine needs floor space and a dedicated outlet. Our office vending machines page shows the compact options that fit tight break rooms.
Paying and restocking
Agents can pay by tap, credit, debit, cash or coins, so nobody needs to carry change. Remote stock monitoring tells us what is selling at your site, so we restock the items your teams actually buy and fewer machines run empty before a busy shift. If your centre runs on weekends, tell us, and we plan service visits around your peak hours.
Free snacks as a team perk
Some contact centres use vending as part of their recognition programs. With our subsidized or free-vend option, the company pays for part or all of what employees take, for example during a training week, a busy season or after a strong month. Everyone else pays the regular price on the same machine.
Vending machine or micro market?
Large centres sometimes ask about a micro market instead. A micro market needs a dedicated, access-controlled room; vending machines lock products inside, so they work in shared buildings and on multiple floors. Our comparison of micro markets and vending machines walks through the trade-offs.
How getting a machine works
- Tell us about your centre: the address, roughly how many agents work there across all shifts, your hours, and how many floors or break rooms you have.
- Free site visit: we look at the break areas, confirm the outlets and the delivery route, and check building rules such as loading docks, freight elevators and security sign-in.
- Recommendation: we suggest the mix of machines for your headcount and shifts, for example coffee plus a combo machine on each floor, with a fresh-food machine for the night team.
- Installation: usually 3 to 5 business days after approval, scheduled so it does not disrupt the calling floor.
- Ongoing service: we restock, clean and repair, and adjust the product mix based on what sells. If a machine needs attention, our repair service handles it at no cost to you.
Questions to settle before installation
- Which shifts have the fewest food options nearby? That is where fresh meals and coffee matter most.
- Does the building restrict deliveries to certain hours? We plan installation and restocking around it.
- Do you want a subsidized or free-vend option for some periods, or regular pricing all the time?
- Who on site should be our contact for service and product requests?
